my baby boy is 4...

our littlest guy is 4!!  i made the mistake of telling him on april 1st, that his birthday was this month...and he has been asking me every day if it's his birthday! we planned a few weeks ago to have a party at the pool...a cold front blew in the night before, so thankfully, the water was heated, so the kids could still enjoy the water! i'm so proud of this little guy! he is sooo caring about others. he's tender hearted and a people-pleaser. his favorite movie is still monsters inc...favorite food is pizza and grilled cheese...favorite color is purple,pink, and red...favorite tv show is power rangers...favorite word is "jinx"...favorite thing to do is wrestle or jump on the trampoline with the sprinkler.

he is super friendly, but at the same time, can be very shy. it is such a joy to be his mom!

the newlys in town!

our little group we call the "newlys" (all recently married) came in for a visit! it was soooo special having these friends here...they are all near and dear to our hearts, so having them come to see what our world is like right now was just so fun! (though we did miss caitlin and russell who weren't able to come)...we started the day by watching logan's first baseball game! several of this group were also present at logan's first soccer game when he was 4!!! so we were excited for them to see him play again! of course, we had to introduce them to Fuego Tortilla Grill for lunch...then we spent most of the afternoon hanging out at the park. we made homemade pizza for dinner and enjoyed just chilling and sitting in the hot tub.

logan's first baseball season has started!! (ian said he wasn't interested in playing baseball) they won their first game! he looks so sharp in his uniform! he is LOVING it! andy is helping out with coaching...so its super special for logan to have dad so involved!! so far, he has played a little at second and a little at pitcher!

10 years and counting...

marked andy and i's 10 year anniversary!! we had someone ask us what was sort of a surprise in looking back over the years of marriage...for me...its that i thought i loved andy 10 years ago when we said our vows...but i had no idea how much my love for him would grow over the years. all the different aspects of his character as a husband, father, pastor, and Godly man that have developed and matured and just made me love him more. he is truly the greatest blessing the Lord has ever given me...

we went to a little bed and breakfast in the country...casa azul...it was such a peaceful and relaxing time. andy made a notebook of all the letters and notes i had given him (and we'll have to add my stuff later, cuz i have a whole box of his stuff he didn't know about)...but that was really special for us to look through and remember the old times. we watched a kinda dumb movie -"tower heist"- cuz there was nothing else out to rent. :) we had a delicious dinner and chocolate fondue for dessert. we slept in...though we couldn't sleep past 8...haha! so sad...

then we had mimosas and cinnamon rolls for breakfast and watched an all time classic, "the notebook"...we loaded up the car, and then sat on the lawn swing for a few minutes talking...it was such a special time and much needed in our crazy lives. good times...
