mommy and me time...

well, tysen and i have colds today, so andy took the older 2 to church, and tysen and i had some fun mommy and me time. i got to remember what it was like to have just 1 baby....it was so quiet, and i relished in the noise free home. then tysen took a bath...maybe the first one ever by himself in the big tub...he played longer than he usually does...probably because no one was taking toys from him, or knocking him over cuz they needed something on the other side of the tub. he had a blast! it was really neat to get some one-on-one time....even if we both aren't feeling 100%...it was nice to have time together.

we got to meet max for a playdate the other day...they are 7 months apart, and we are anxious to watch their inevitable friendship bloom. tysen is my little firecracker, and max seems to have a more laid back personality (like logan's).....but i'm sure they will be best buds...we love you boys!

have i told you lately that i love you?

i get busy a lot, and sometimes i forget to slow down and just love my boys. ian reminds me at least 5x/a day. not kidding. he will walk up at any given moment and say
"mommy, did you know that i love you?"
go give your kids a hug and tell them that you love them....

Winterpark, CO

Here's a few pictures from our time in Colorado...it was so fun to get away...but definately exhausting. Andy pretty much worked 24-7 with the youth kids, and getting the boys ready for snow is a pretty huge ordeal. The boys had a blast, and really Tysen was the difficult part... but we're home, and after 6 big loads of laundry, we're getting back into our routine! :)

hilarious

ok, so i don't have any daughters, but my little nieces are what i cling to for a little of the girliness....these videos are of audrey, and if you haven't met audrey...all you need to know is that she's the most outgoing of all of the cousins. she will bust out in song anywhere for anyone... you won't sit next to her without being introduced and getting a full run-down of our family tree...etc, etc....its kinda what i would have thought my kids would be like, but thus far mine have been shy, so whatever....:)
anyway, this first video brought some proud tears to my eyes as she played at a little piano recital...

then the tears flowed as i was laughing sooo hard at her singing a song. carleigh (her mom) said that she doesn't know where she learned verbrata, but its taken quite well to her...what do you think?
