visiting family

just wanted to get a few fun pictures up...we made a quick visit to dfw a couple weeks ago...surprisingly we got to see my whole family, which is unusual for such a short trip! milia and aubren had birthdays that we got to celebrate at the park...even though i didn't get milia in any pictures!

we also got to get dressed up for amy and jared wedding. (amy is kyles little sister, but we feel like family too)...the boys were so excited to get a little bit of time with gra and max!

camping...

last weekend we went camping with the family in bastrop, tx...the temps were hot, but we managed ok in the shade and with fans. we were able to go swimming...and fishing...the rest of the time was spent relaxing!! (as long as we were under the net tent to keep the flies out!)

end of baseball

it was sad to see the end of the season...i enjoyed it much more than i thought... logan did amazing! he was moved to all different positions, but mainly played 2nd, 3rd, or left field. he started having some great hits...including 2 in park home runs!!!  we are so proud of our little baseball player!

 

 

vacation in gulf shores...

4 years ago we went to destin, florida with an amazing group! this year, we went to gulf shores alabama with the same group, and it was seriously the best vacation ever! the weather was great...the boys being older was awesome...it felt like we could sit and relax!! we were not ready to come home!!

 one night we slipped off with just our family and found a great little pizza place for dinner! the boys wanted to go back, but we never did...it was good pizza!!

 andy's favorite soft serve yogurt is the white chocolate mousse at tcby...and they are rare these days, so we had to stop for icecream! and ian was thrilled with several choices of soft serve sorbet for him! it was so good, we actually made another trip later in the week!

 the boys LOVED the ocean! tysen was a little unsure, but he liked it as long as dad was holding him. ian and logan spent hours jumping in the waves! there were even several sting rays that swam up and down the shoreline every day...and one day we saw dophins a little further out!

12 adults...and 13 kids under age 8!! crazy...but sooooo fun!!!

 one night we all went to a cool beach restaurant...we got to eat pretty peacefully as the kids spent the whole time digging in the sand! it was called "lulu's"...

 crab hunting...the boys didn't stay out too long cuz it was kinda creepy with little crabs running everywhere! but andy caught several and the boys enjoyed watching him. :)
