wedding saga continues....

wedding number 2! joel and montana farrington...they had an outdoor wedding on their beautiful property. we took the whole family and the marshalls too, and obviously, i needed pics. we took a zillion shots, and just couldn't get the lighting right (but we laughed a lot!)...the very last shots were finally perfect lighting and it's getting so much easier as the boys are more cooperative now! i still have to drag them over, but they humor me and know it goes faster if they just smile! :):)
the next day we bolted after church and headed to denton for wedding number 3!! ben and leah phillips! leah was at faith (but we knew her from denton!) for a couple years and worked as an intern with andy and i....super sweet ceremony...we had a few faith bible representatives!

the month of wedding frenzy begins...

so, october is a crazy month of weddings for us! its such a rewarding stage of life to be working with college students...and then the weddings begin! we have 5 in one month...2 of them andy will officiate...i had to really think about my dresses! ha! andy has already officiated 6 weddings this year...so i had to think about who was at each wedding and try to strategically plan when to wear what! but it's a lot of fun, and i was really glad to have a couple weddings that andy isn't officiating and we just go together. we love having a reason to get dressed up!
first up, kenndall and lanie lewis!

the weather is finally cooling off...we used one of our free Saturday mornings to take advantage of that! cynthia (an international student from china that we have been hanging out with) came with us and we took breakfast to a park! BEAUTIFUL OUTDOOR WEATHER.

september fly by

september wasn't too eventful. it was a nice month that wasn't racing constantly...
middle school dance. this was ian's first...he wasn't too thrilled, but did go, and said it was ok. of course my guys aren't big on dancing, so when they are 'forced' they will dance...but only with a couple people. i'm ok with it. let the social awkwardness reign. andy says we can work on that when they get older. :):)
logan danced with faith (our neighbor)...i think maybe one other dance, but that's it...:)
mom came in town for my birthday, and i don't know why i didn't get any pictures. we just hung out and went to eat at grub burgers...our favorite place for a burger and shake. the next day, my girl leaders surprised me and picked me up for dessert! we indulged on pazookies, and then did an impromptu trip to a tattoo parlor to get my ear pierced. i had done the middle part of my right ear already, but it wasn't a good piercing, so i took it out and did the opposite side and got it done right. such a pain...but i do love it!!! :)
fun shot of our leaders this year. everyone is so close and has so much fun together. we are so blessed, and always amazed at how the Lord brings these people into our lives. we love them like our own kids!!! and it's weird to be in a stage where we almost could be there parents! yikes!
kazee girl time. went to waco for the day, and just shopped and had a quaint lunch. always great!!

turning 11

ian trae.
 turned eleven this year.
he is a constant joy in our home. his love for Jesus is so apparent, and overflows in his life. he is so kind hearted, and considerate. he loves kids so much. this summer he actually did some babysitting for a small group at church. he cares so deeply...and is so repentant whenever he is corrected. he is easy going, and SO much like andy!!!!
i have always enjoyed watching my boys grow up....and what a privilege to see this young man growing to be such an incredible example to those around him. he still loves legos...and needs his alone time to recharge. he has begun "scootering" with logan a lot...and is already killing it in 6th grade. every year is an adventure with these boys, and i'm so thankful for the front row seat to them growing up!
he picked the movie and wanted a red velvet cake for his birthday!!
